Home surveillance video in Calabasas, Calif. shows a woman picking up a snake she mistakenly thought was a dog toy.
Security footage captures Carla Rosso playing with her German Shepherd, and then kneeling down to pick up what she thought was a dog’s toy. Rosso realized her mistake, quickly let go of the small rattlesnake and frantically ran across the patio.
